Little Miss & Master Pageant Details
FEES: Entry fee is $50.00. A sibling discount will be offered, which will be $5.00 off each additional child. The deadline for entry is August 9th, 2026. No exceptions. For any additional information, call or text Kaylee Hodges at (606) 309-2757. Payment by Cash or Check. All contestants must be a resident of Laurel County, Kentucky. Two (2) forms of proof of residency must be included with paperwork. One form of ID must be a valid Kentucky Driver’s License. Another form of ID can be a utility bill or phone bill.
THEME WEAR: This portion of the pageant is included in the entry fee. Introducing this year’s theme: “Beneath The Same Moon: 200 Years of Light and Legacy” Highlighting the lives and legacies of the Women of London and Laurel County.. This portion of the pageant will kick start the pageant as each contestant is encouraged to participate. The event will start in the theme wear category of the pageant, you’re encouraged to wear your Theme wear attire if participating in the parade. The Miss & Teen LCH contestants have a traditional portion of the pageant dedicated to theme wear, contestants wear an outfit depicting their vision of the theme. There is only one Theme Wear awarded for ages 0-12.
FORMAL WEAR: This is included in the entry fee. Formal Wear attire can be a store-bought pageant dress, flower girl style dress, or dressy Sunday Best. Those ages 6 and older should have a floor length dress. Dresses must be age appropriate and can have beading / embellishments. No custom dresses. Makeup should be kept to a minimum. This is a Natural Pageant. No hairpieces or flippers allowed. Boys may compete in Tuxedo or Sunday Best.
PHOTOGENIC: This portion of the pageant is included in the entry fee. Photos must be an unframed 8×10. Photos can be color or black & white. Contestant NAME & CATEGORY must be on the back of all photos submitted. One framed picture will be the photo displayed in the Silver Spoon Formals window on Main Street. Guardians are responsible for dropping them off to Silver Spoon Formals. Digital headshots are due for submission no later than August 9th. These will be in the Sentinel-Echo, Facebook, and for People’s Choice. Once submitted these cannot be changed. Submit them to kayleerae.smithh@gmail.com.
It’s the contestant’s responsibility to pick up framed headshot from Silver Spoon and contestants can pick up unframed photogenic pictures after the pageant concludes. There is only one Photogenic awarded for ages 0-12.
JUDGING: The decision of the judges is final and score sheets are confidential. This means contestants will not receive scoresheets after the pageant. Each contestant will be given the same criteria.
GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP: It is highly important that you and the participant(s) understand that there is only one crown per age division. We are here to encourage the children to do their best. As long as they try hard, they are successful. Our pageant is run as fair as humanly possible. 2025 title winners may not compete in the same division for the 2026 title.
HOMECOMING PARADE: Each contestant may participate in the annual “Homecoming Parade”. It will be held Saturday morning (August 29th) at 11:00 AM. This year’s parade will be focused around Town Center Park. You must provide your own transportation during the parade. It can be a car, truck, float, etc. Contestants are encouraged to wear their Theme wear attire that they are competing in so when the parade concludes, contestants will be prepared for the pageant to begin at 1:00 pm.
